Shege Ebale

Shege joined Incofin in 2024. He previously worked in asset management with Arvocap Asset Managers. He holds Bachelor of Business Science in Financial Engineering from Strathmore University, and has taken investment management mentorship with Morgan Stanley IM to reinforce his sustainable investing acumen. He brings to the team his quantitative skills and an analytical mind.

Blessings Nyamai

Blessings joined Incofin IM in 2022, bringing valuable experience in finance and SME accounting from their time at Upfield ESA. With a Bachelor of Commerce degree and certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Investment Financial Analyst (CIFA), Blessings contributes to the team with strong financial expertise and analytical skills.

Emma Zawadi Awich

Emma Zawadi Awich joined Incofin IM in October 2022. Prior to joining the team, she worked with Samawati Capital Partners and Advance Consulting Limited and experienced in SME and agro financing.

Emma is fluent in French from a francophone West Africa background and holds a BSc. In Finance from Strathmore University. She has also received training and certifications on SME lending, agrifinance and financial modelling from the Frankfurt School of Finance, Moody’s and the Corporate Finance Institute.

Paul Buysens

Paul Buysens is Managing Partner and since 2022 Co-CEO of Incofin IM. He joined Incofin in September 2017. He has 14 years of international experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Incofin, Paul worked for General Electric (10 years) and Deloitte (3 years). He holds a Masters Degree in Commercial Engineering.

 

Esther Mareka

Esther joined Incofin IM in December 2021. Before, she worked as Operations Manager at Africa Honey Consortium. She has a strong investment management and banking experience from Root Capital (6 years) and Kenya Commercial Bank.

Esther holds a B.Ed. in English & Literature and MBA in Finance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She has also received training on financing Agribusiness value chains from Strathmore Business School.

Jose Enciso

Jose relies on 18 years’ experience in the financial sector. Before he joined Incofin Investment Management in 2019, Jose worked for among others Alpina, Patria Investimentos and Groupe Casino. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance.

Diaka Sall

Diaka has an extensive knowledge in social investment funds, supporting agribusinesses in financial access and financial management trainings. She worked in the past as Regional Manager for Root Capital (West Africa) and as a Consultant for the World Bank, African Development Bank and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization. She holds a Master’s in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics.

Simone Verbraeken

Simone has an extensive experience in African SMEs and corporate investment opportunities. She holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the Wageningen Agricultural University. She works since 2005 as Senior Investment Officer at the Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries (BIO).

Moreover, Carlos has more than 20 years of experience in Microfinance having worked at ACCION International.

Mark Lundy

Marc Lundy

Mark Lundy became Chair of the FAF investment committee in 2012. He is Senior Researcher for the International Tropical Agriculture Center (CIAT). Mark is specialized in inclusive sustainable food systems; rural enterprise development with smallholder farmers; value chains and inclusive business.

Loïc de Cannière

Loic De Cannière is the CEO of Incofin Investment Management. Since 2001, he has grown Incofin into one of the most prominent microfinance and impact investment fund managers. Loic is a strong promoter of social performance parameters into impact investing and participates in leading industry initiatives.

Alexandra Albin

Alexandra is the Agricultural Finance Team Lead in KfW´s equity and regional funds department. In that capacity she is responsible for overseeing the structuring and financing of a wide variety of Agrifinance and Biodiversity Funds in Sub-Sahara Africa and Latin America as well as direct investments into social enterprises in SSA. Her team´s portfolio comprises inter alia investments into the Africa Agriculture and Trade Investment Fund, Lending for African Farming Cooperation, Social Enterprise Fund, One Acre Fund, Babban Gona and Equity for Africa Group. She has over 20 years experience in development cooperation with a specific expertise on agri-finance and SME finance. Alexandra holds a Master in Economics from the Humboldt-University Berlin.

Lia González Iza

Lia Gonzales

Lia González joined Incofin IM in January 2014 as Investment Officer of the Fair Trade Access Fund. She has five years of experience in investment banking activities such as financial structuring and modeling, project finance, M&As and corporate finance. Lia holds an MBA in Responsible Management from Audencia Nantes École de Management in France and an undergraduate degree in Finance and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia. She is fluent in Spanish, English and French and can express herself in Portuguese.
