We’re proud to share the Fairtrade Access Fund Impact Report 2025 – a year marked by both scale and innovation in supporting smallholder farmers worldwide.
In 2025, the Fund deployed USD 100 million across 44 investees in 17 countries, reaching over 545,000 smallholder farmers, most of whom cultivate less than five hectares. Encouragingly, average farmer revenues increased by 10%, reflecting tangible progress toward more stable and sustainable livelihoods.
This year also marked an important step forward with the launch of our Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) approach, recognising and rewarding farmers for the environmental value they create.
As climate pressures, market volatility, and regulatory changes intensify, our fund continues to focus on three pillars: market access, income stability, and climate resilience – ensuring smallholder farmers are not left behind, but are empowered as key actors in sustainable food systems.
